Orange Swift

Had to stop off at Oxford Circus on my way to work to buy a gift voucher for F, one of my team, who is leaving today. I stopped off to buy fruit and cake too as I’d promised to bring dessert for a lunchtime picnic to mark her last day.

Luckily the weather held and we walked up to Regent’s Park for our informal picnic. It was good for all of us to get together and sit around in the sun. The strawberries I’d bought were fantastic and went down very well.

The afternoon seemed very long and I was very pleased when 5.30 finally came round and I was able to head for home.

This orange swift moth was still in the kitchen when I got home. The markings and colouration are beautiful.
