The Shiplake and Wargrave Regatta

The regatta which is held once a year is one of the island's highlights. Originally it was a village vs village affair, but it has now grown considerably and takes place over 2 days. Not quite Henley, but the standards are high and all the races take place on Regatta boats: punts, skiffs and Canadian canoes.
