I deserved this..

Well I lived to regret my Blip back on Sunday about how nice the rain is. That comment well and truly came back and smashed me round the chops. Yesterday, in fairness, I somehow avoided the rain in Leicester as I played golf. Literally the huge black clouds swarmed around us for hours but the wind pushed it by only for it to throw it down all the way home on the M1. A lucky boy. Today? I wasn't so fortunate despite the Worlds worst weather app informing me it would be sunny & cloudy late afternoon / evening. Well the Worlds worst weather app lived up to its name as it bucketed it down during the round as three of us got a drenching. Then beautiful sunshine until the 17th. It was like a scene from Armageddon - at 19.45 it was literally pitch black (the photos I took made it look lighter so I discarded them). I could barely see my ball on the green when BOOM. I haven't seen rain like it for months - the green was flooded in minutes as I stood under my Polyco umbrella (always a chance of a sale no matter where you are...), this pond - which is home to about 15,000 golf balls - was filling up as we eventually ran for our lives giving up on the 18th. My ball is still on the green, I'm still soaked through but... my Polyco umbrella stood firm. Take that rain.
