Heron

Went for a wander along the river after work to try to get a photo of one of the herons in flight. I spotted this one across the river and did manage a few shots as he flew off but unfortunately either got a good shot of his head, body or feet but not all three together! I think he is the youngster that I spotted before in the trees but have never seen him close enough to photograph. He definitely has less grey hairs than the one I've blipped before .
I'll have to go back another day and try again. So instead decided to blip him on the bank before he flew off. I think this works better in mono as there was a bright green background which darkens down well in mono with a blue filter.
