Flame of Hope

After nearly 20 years of having Diabetes, I finally made it to the Banting Museum. It was such an amazing experience to be able to walk through the house of the man that discovered the medicine that keeps me alive. He saved not only my own life, but many of my friends lives, as well as the lives of thousands of people around the world. Without him, none of us would've survived very long after diagnosis. This flame out front of his house, symbolizes the fight for Diabetes. It will be lit until the day that a cure is found.
