Faces of Fiona #99
A thunderstorm last night brought slightly cooler temperatures today, thank goodness. Had a lovely day catching up with 6 of my book club girlfriends--amazing number for August as this is a very traveling group. Yes we talked about the book , Donna Tartt's the Goldfinch. :-) The "reviews" were all over the place but for the most part they felt as I did that it was a can't-put-it-down read that probably didn't deserve a prize. The boys characters are so well developed and it was just a darn good story.....
Later H picked up Fiona from school so she could spend some time at our house which she was missing.... we walked to the playground for awhile but mostly she played here, entertaining us with her non stop talking, and the 3 of us had dinner.(pancakes for her, salad for us). Then she washed and dusted all the DR chairs. ("what can I do for you?") Next year she will be included in grandkids camp with Nanna/Boppa, provided we are still mobile :-)
( Yes, this is a sideways ladder at the playground.)
