Hard work

The Rearguard Falls, leaving Jasper in direction of Prince George. Fortunately we received the recommendation to stop there and to see if the first salmons are arriving. And they did ! Better have a look in large and you will find it.

The falls mark the upper limit of the 800 mile migration of Salmon from the Pacific Ocean. Only a few of the largest and strongest make it that far. Not yet that many, so we had to wait a bit and every few minutes a salmon was jumping out of the water trying to overcome the falls.
