Stormont in the rain
The avenue leading up to Parliament Buildings, the seat of the Northern Ireland Assembly, in the Stormont Estate; popularly, the building is just referred to as "Stormont"
Today started out grand in Donaghadee but by the time I reached Lisburn 60 minutes later, the weather had closed in with a light rain (unlike the Eskimos, we have hundreds of different names for the types of rain and wet weather but only a few words for snow). By the time my bike was repaired, a half-hour later, it was raining in earnest demanding some wet weather gear.
Ordinarily Stormont is really picturesque but the rain obscures it pretty much today; maybe just as well with the tall crane towering over it.
