Our defeat against France had the added disadvantage of giving us an 8.30am time slot, meaning we were up at 6.30am. We woke up to an absolute downpour of rain interspersed with lightening, which pushed the matches back by an hour (unfortunately we were already up and at breakfast by then). It cleared up however and we kicked off against Italy (again!). After a slow start in the first half we put in a sterling effort to close the gap between scores, unfortunately we ran out of time and lost 7-8. Disappointing, but the Presecco in the tent afterwards softened the blow! This left the rest of the day for kit swapping, relaxing and watching the finals (Scotland took the mixed open European champions title against England). Then after 4 days of not drinking, we let loose for a pretty epic night out!
