Holiday Day 3
Things were not quite going to plan. Gofer should have been out in the New Forrest looking for more cp’s but the car was playing up, making noises and grumbling. The breakdown mechanic couldn’t deal with it on the spot - garage tomorrow me thinks. Plan B - we all went up to Blashford Lakes Nature Reserve just N of Ringwood. We set off on our walk and the first thing we saw was a fairly large deer leaping across the path and disappearing into the woodland. As expected things were fairly quiet on the lakes. There were lots of blue damselflies, quite a few dragons and butterflies but the brisk breeze made photography tricky. We stopped to talk to the warden at the back of the education centre when this little fellow caught our eye collecting seed for its winter store.
