Landform at the Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh
Went for a walk with a friend today. The light dusting of snow and the frozen pond at the Landform Sculpture caught my eye and I had my camera at the ready. We were on our way to the BP Portrait Exhibition at the Dean Gallery but had wandered in to the Gallery of Modern Art first (cheese scones had NOTHING to do with it, she lied..)
My favourite portrait was Jennifer Anderson's White Linen where the artist depicts her sister wearing a simple white garment and where the background is timeless. I could live with this portrait, whereas many of the others, whilst beautifully executed were too photorealistic.
For so many reasons I love living in Edinburgh.
