Another Stunning Sumner Sunrise

Yes, another one! A great start to the day, with the promise of wild weather to come. We're threatened with strong cold southwesterly winds and snow on Banks Peninsula tonight, and some of the passes closed with snow. It's still winter! My windscreen was thoroughly iced up this morning, a most unusual happening out here by the sea.

We had our Friday coffee and photography get-together today as Spikes2013 is away tomorrow. The Tropical House in the Botanic Gardens is open again, so we visited there and enjoyed having coffee in the delightful new Visitor Centre and Cafe.
