Canary-shouldered Thorn

This beauty came to my light trap as soon as I switched it on at about 11.00 last night. I'm glad I caught it then to photograph later as there were none in the trap this morning. The Thorns are one group of moths I'm beginning to sort out - important at this time when there are four very similarly patterned species on the wing. I wish I was more confident with Rustics, Brindles and Brocades - they can still result in much poring over book illustrations.
