Street theatre
Day off so after doing some washing and a running repair it was down the hill on an overcrowded bus to the hubbub of the town. The train was late (cow on the line) so I arrived shortly before Y, G and granddaughter Is. And off we went for Is's adventure at the Fringe. I is not quite 4 so her buggy came too, to prevent more damage to bad backs.
First stop, City Art Gallery cafe for coffee then up Cockburn Street to the free street theatre. Is was mesmerised by the performers, music, juggling, magic, tightrope walking, many unicycles, card tricks, balloons. She didn't get the jokes but that doesn't matter. Her grandad, G, had a starring role in one of the shows channelling Bob Marley in a fetching hat.
Lunch was a burger on the bench beside the Tron Church and the afternoon ended with an chocolate ice cream for Is beside the Gallery. Then it rained and rained and the trio headed off back west a wee bit earlier than planned but they'd had a good day and Is was beginning to flag. It's hard work being entertained when you're 3 and a half.
Elsewhere, P has gone back home to Oldham. She looked a bit sad. And an update on the KL2. Well still 2. I had a brief word with #1 d-in-l this morning. She is still at home, still working and still ok. They're off to 'Expendables 3' tonight.
