Verbena and a busy buzzy bee.

As the car was in the auto hospital for a minor paint touch up, we used our bus passes this morning for a trip into Stirling to pick up my new glasses. Back home and a quick start to tidying the garden and cutting the grass before the promised rain arrived. Well it was early! However it is still a bit sad to see the flowers going in the bin.
During a dry spell I took a prowl round for a suitable blipopportunity. This variety of verbena grows to 5/6 feet and is, I believe, unique in having square stems. This most obliging bee landed just as I was focussing in. Result!
