What a strange world

I filled my hire car up with petrol today. In the UK, it would have cost about £50. Here in Oman, it cost 4 Omani rials. Or about £6.40. Just in case you think that is a mistype, I repeat £6.40.

I also had a haircut. Which included a beard trim and the essential eye brow trim. My volume of hair means I don't detain barbers for very long. It cost 8 Omani Rials or £12.80.

So the price of a haircut here in Oman is twice the price of filling a medium size car with petrol.

Not a lot if people know that. I might have to find a new barber.

Also I found this tree. And I am still working out whether the roots are growing up or the branches are growing down.
