Another sunshine and blue skies start to the day, so it's warm enough for just a tee shirt for walking the dog this morning. But it's to be a day of change!

Catching up on a few Radio 4 comedy programmes while clearing emails and getting information together to finalise the estimate tomorrow. The morning soon passes and it's soon time to head off to meet cousin C for lunch.

The Parkway is very busy, but K manages to find us a table in a relatively quiet spot for us to enjoy a relaxed catch-up over a very enjoyable spread. There's plenty of choice for me and the quality is excellent. It's a popular venue and has been for a while, so I guess they are doing something right. With plenty to talk about three hours passes in the blink of an eye. I get distracted as a low-loader with a JCB on the back attempts to reverse - unsuccessfully - several times into the grounds. Eventually it gives up reversing and drives in front first, success.

The skies have changed so often today, showers interspersed with sunshine. As we leave The Parkway I decide to head off to a high spot to catch something of the darkening skies before the deluge.
