Boys Toys

This handsome little digger and a skip turned up this morning, and hubby and our builder (Carl) spent the day grubbing out the remains of the roots of the Berberis hedge that was removed last week. It was quite an old hedge, and there was also a lot of ivy, some of which goes under the lawn behind the wall, so it was a lot of hard work getting it out. We have had to have the hedge removed because the wall next to it collapsed onto the pavement at one end. We are having the wall rebuilt, and strengthened, and then, next year, we will have a new hedge.
