...........a day of contrasts...........

In bed just before midnight last night........aching knees after the 200 mile drive.......knackered after all the running around.........wide awake at 3.45...........two hours of mindless guilty pleasure TV..........back to bed around 6.00.........dropped off about 6.20.........BANG!, wide awake again at 7.05.

The Boss got up at 9.30............went to collect Charlie at 10.00 and headed off to Chester zoo..............I had a funeral to go to...........the Boss and Charlie got back just after 7.30.

This is Charlie with Rosie the giraffe........where she picks the names from I don't know............and Rosie is basically just a head and a neck. They had a great time......Charlie ran everywhere...........the quote of the day was " Charlotte look at these big pink birds"......."Oh grandma it's just mingoes!".......although later she told me she'd seen some mangoes!

Charlie is now sound asleep........I'll be joining her soon..........I hope.......possibly I'm taking her fishing tomorrow. We'll see what the weather's like......it's been terrible here today.
