Day 4 of my week’s holiday.
No sander today, but pungent varnish. Well at least it quiet.
Spent the afternoon out at Cliveden having a short tour of a tiny bit of the house. Great reception area, all panelled. Though we heard Lady Aster likened it to living in a cigar box!
We then sped off to Brompton Cemetery for the annual Dr Death lecture on the Posthumous Indignities of the Famous. Learnt something new, 'Anthropodermic Bibliopegy' the practice of binding books in human skin..... any volunteer’s??
