Kalapuya Basket with Camas Sculpture

My usual Thursday bike ride involves a bike path that parallels Interstate-5 for a bit.

There is a sculpture that was installed as part of the new I-5 bridge built over the Willamette River.

It is a tribute to the first folks to live here in the Willamette Valley the Kalapuya people.

The sculpture is a Kalapuya basket with Camas plants and flowers.
