A lovely day, but is it still summer?

A photo from just outside the library where I work, looking up the hill. A warm and sunny day so I'm still in my shorts and t-shirt.
However, there are definite signs of the seasons moving on. The leaves are just slightly turning colour, the rowan berries are ripening, the shadows are growing longer for the time of day and even the blue of the sky has something different about it. Though you can't see it in the image the light nights have gone and darkness has returned to our part of the world.
So roll on autumn - but let the sun stay shining a few weeks more, please.
