Eeeexcellent!

Another random insect sighting, this time a mantis on the bridge near the bar. I imaginatively call him Mr. Burns. Oddly I hadn't seen any mantises until today, then I saw two in the same night - another one was hanging out on one of the tables outside later in the evening. Unless of course it was the same one who just wanted to see where I worked.

Last night was pretty crazy as today is a public holiday so many people were out celebrating and getting drunk. Unfortunately I hadn't considered this so had a couple of hairy moments when several groups placed orders at once. All was well in the end though, and much fun was had. Caught up with some friends, got quite drunk myself and (somehow) remembered most of the night. I consider it good if I get to bed when it's still dark and wake up in my pyjamas, to avoid feeling like scum. Planning to behave myself tonight, but we'll see what happens.
