A Bit of Color for a Grey Day

Dear Diary,

After a beautiful day yesterday, this day dawned grey and quite cool. I thought a spot of color would brighten things up! Color has such power to cheer us or sooth us or even to make us feel uncomfortable. For years I worked only in black and white but now I seem to crave color in my camera work...quite a transition for me and perhaps a bit revealing in some ways.

But I am thankful every day for the ability to receive these beautiful images and relish the color and texture of the world around me. I am especially thankful to this lovely little geranium that lit up my morning today.
