A fritillary

I can cope with birds but butterflies are another world. In the UK life isn't too bad as there is not a great choice of possibilities. However here in the Mediterranean it is a new ball game - there are 35 pages in my butterfly book of Fritillaries and many look the same to me.
I think this is a Knapweed Fritillary - the underside is more distinctive than the upper and a couple of images of that incline me to this particular species. That is not to say I am horribly wrong.... The upperside looks a bit bright perhaps. If anyone out there knows about these things, ask and I'll forward the underwing images!
