Cloud 9 Beach

As I'm busy with posting this, it's showering, which is okay because it's almost 22.00 and we've long since returned to the eco-club.

The morning was very similar to yesterday morning, except that I napped more, but read more, too, and hubby went shopping again (!).

The afternoon was spent walking 3 km. to Cloud 9 Resort to see what everyone's been raving about. As it turned out, it was fab because of the surfing and because there is a tall observation tower from which you can watch the tide coming in and so gauge when to start walking with your surfboard towards the waves. There were several surfers there this afternoon and I got some pretty good shots, yet not good enough for me to feel good about them (i.e. show them here). And, anyway, the waves were high but not really spectacularly so.

This was shot at the pier at Cloud 9 as the tide started to come in. We ended up having dinner there and then returned to our place to finish off with dessert. The discussion about retirement plans came up again but we concluded that we can't really plan anything yet because nobody really knows what the situation will be in 10-12 years time when I'll finally stop working. In short, back to Square Zero, which we're not entirely happy about but which we won't spend too much time on. Security and saving up is fine ... if the world isn't caught up in some war or other by the time we're ready to step off. Now is now and that is all we really know.

Besides, I'm never been hot about the idea of retiring in The Phil. Hubby loves it here, though.
