Life in a Northern Town

Union Jacks

Haworth Main Street this morning, with the Union Jack bunting blowing in the breeze.

I am not sure what will happen to the Union Jack if Scotland votes "yes" next month - it'll look very dull without the saltire.

Please don't look too closely at the selective colouring, which led me to question my sanity!

Sarah and I have been to have lunch in Haworth with her former English tutor, a lovely, kind and warm lady who could talk the hind legs off a herd of donkeys. My head is spinning.

David seems to remarkably un-hungover this morning after last night's post results celebrations. This is apparently due to coming home early as he couldn't dance with his arm in a sling. I am supposed to be teaching him how to cook, and that's not happening due to this sling business either. If I hadn't been in the room to hear the doctor tell him to keep it in the sling for three more weeks I'd be very suspicious.....
