Who's a Pretty Boy Then

This lovely juvenile male mallard came up to check me out as I stood watching some children feed the ducks ( I always feel I shouldn't take photos near children I don't know) and as he was so close I thought I would be ok taking his photo. Maybe he wanted to show me his new iridescent dark green feathers just coming through or most likely he just thought I had some food for him, which unfortunately I didn't today but either way he seemed quite happy to pose for me :-)
As I was driving home this scene caught my eye, it was quite a beautiful sight but I just couldn't bear to use it as my blip........surely it's way too early!!!
