A weekend away.

We are having a weekend in Yorkshire. We travelled down the coast stopping off at Staithes, first. A lovely little working fishing village at the foot of a very steep hill, where cars have to be left at the top. We enjoyed listening in to the fishermen sitting next to us, outside a pub where we had coffee. Theirs is a different world from ours, and almost a different language.
We then moved on to Robin Hoods Bay. Another village at the bottom of a steep hill. This picture is taken from the top. It was known as a haunt of smugglers, and I can see why, as the houses go right down to the shore, almost built on top of each other.
We are now in York, where we are staying for two nights.
