Little Poodle

Way back many years ago during one of my other creative fases, I spent many nights carving two of these.
This was done in Temuka pottery clay and then fired. When you work with this media of clay you cannot put any moulded clay back onto the sculpture as when it is fired it will just fall off.
Every cut has to be done precisely to get the correct shape. This poodle is in very stylish puppy trim but would probably be very different today, as with hair styles, poodles trims are always evolving.
