PASTA

Busy day today getting ready for my daughter Becky and son in law Mike to arrive. Hoovering and general cleaning. Popped to the Co-op for fresh bread and fruit.

Becky and Mike were due to arrive around 6pm but didn't actually get here till nearer 9pm. Lots of traffic on the roads, roadworks, accidents and rainy weather meant delays on their journey from London.

Mike had planned to make meatballs in tomato sauce which we would have with pasta. However when they realised how late they would be Becky rang me and said could I just make spaghetti bolognese and have it ready for around 9pm. So that's what I did. Today's Forum Challenge is Foodie Friday so here you have the pasta ready to be cooked.

After the meal we had a bit of a catch up and Becky and Mike had an early night. We have booked tickets online to go to Alnwick Castle and Gardens tomorrow so we will make an early start.
