Sunset Beach Bridge

Sunset Beach is one of the island beaches off the southeastern coast of North Carolina. This bridge is about 3 years old and replaced a single lane pontoon bridge. The island of Sunset Beach has very few commercial establishments and the homes there are maintained very well. The bridge crosses from the mainland of our county over the Intracoastal Waterway. Of course, the ocean and two inlets to the marsh and waterway surround most of the island.
