An Artist's Life

Evening

The evening comes softly tonight...creeping over the hills in feathered light. Clouds have little cell-buckets of rain they drop-plop here and there. The August singularity is upon us. It's a one-day warning that we'd better get the winter's wood in and stacked, the storage areas cleaned out for summer's toys and the last summer fertilization of lawn and flowers. The temperature dropped to the 60-70 degree range for just this one day...but it will pop back up to the 80s tomorrow. We all recognize this mountain oddity as our Mother Earth reminds her children about their chores.

However, I will pop over the mountains tomorrow...going to the Spokane Opera House to see "The Book of Mormon"! I'm excited! New York theater brings their troupes over here for major plays and we drive from all over to see them. Ciao, bambinos!
