Hosta theatre

Today we visited Levens Hall near Kendal, home of some of the oldest topiary in the world, Yewbarrow House in Grange-over-Sands, a magnificent private garden overlooking Morecombe Bay, took a boat ride on Lake Windermere and finished up at the Lakeland Horticultural Society's garden at Holehird, north of Bowness and at the foot of the Kirkstone Pass.

This garden is maintained beautifully and looked after solely by volunteers. I love the idea of the Hosta Theatre, showing off a number of dwarf varieties.
