France Day 5 : Gone fishin'

Today we strolled down to the River Thouet, mainly to give Mabel a dip to cool her down in the afternoon heat. We came across this father and son bonding over a fishing rod at the water's edge. It was a charmingly peaceful scene.

The other incentive for the walk was to pick some wild brambles for a crumble for this evening's dessert, which the young MacFreuchie is busy preparing as I type. Yum!
