Lunch break
The Pays Basque was stronger than me ... well the rain was and I decided to head to the Côte Landaise, The Gascony coast, where the sun was au rendezvous - yay!
This shot was taken earlier by a deserted beach.
So I arrived at a campsite where a member of the VW Combi club had been 2 years earlier and which he said was brilliant.
So, I looked for the owner, there were three prople sat in the shade drinking pastis.
It's him, said a lady, pointing to one of them.
He looked zt thr combi - what s great van he said, then led me to a space under a huge oak tree, we chatted for a while and he fetched me z glass of pastis.
I told him about how I found the place and thzt it would make a great place fog a combi meeting - any time he said- so this will be added to the agenda of esczpade weekends.
To dedcribe the place? it's like being in a good friend's garden, with all your friends. Everyone knows each other and they all drink, play music and eat together. It is so magically unusual - I wss invited to an apéro with some people from Toulouse, of which there are many and am now invited to drink coffee - yeah right ... not a coffee cup in sight, but lots of beer and wine, with a bunch of them.
I'm quite overwhelmed...
no really, it is fabulous ... I may be some time
