Foggintor Quarry

A dull afternoon for a walk around this huge disused quarry. Once there was a tor here but that was quarried away a long time ago. Nelson's Column is constructed from granite taken from this quarry. It was active until 1938. The ridge in the distance is Staple Tor and Roos Tor.

Better large.
