I arranged for one of my voice students to pose for me up at the burnt out Mt Stromlo Observatory. I wanted to try some flash photo techniques. This was taken at 4pm and there was lots of ambient light. I set the camera to manual, made sure it was grossly underexposing the scene, and then used a flash head with grid to light his face. Lots of fun!
