A Day of Celebrations

Our niece and friend stayed overnight. They were heading to a wedding this afternoon. How long does it take young ladies to get ready? Answer - over two hours. Showers, spray tan, hair, make up, more hair, ironing, more make up. Once they were looking just lovely, off they went in their high heels.

And off we went, to a friend's 70th Birthday celebrations in deepest Ayrshire. A blustery, wet drive, to a very happy occasion with J's family and friends. I loved the moment when her two little Grandsons presented her with a Caterpillar Cake, and helped with the blowing out.

And the stress of the day ... boiler decided to go on the blink again in the midst of shower sessions this morning. Sudden lack of hot water. Called for assistance, but they can't come until tomorrow. I feel a new boiler coming on - third call out in a year.
