Tulips
How beautiful are the tulips,
Just as red as wine.
Down along the garden path,
And they are mine.
I planted them in autumn,
With these...my own two hands.
Where every eye could look upon,
And say that they were grand.
I know..that those who passes-by,
Envy me having them.
The way that tulips open up,
With strong and slender stem.
They make me...O so proud,
That I should have such care.
That I pulled all the weed growths out,
And gently put them there.
How beautiful...are the tulips,
So even...and so in line.
My efforts are rewarded,
For every one...is mine.
