Side door, Granville Island

Had to go on a five minute hunt ending on the second floor of an almost adjacent parkade, to pay $3 to get a ticket that I needed to then dash back and place on my dashboard in order to be permitted to park in the spot I was already in, where a week ago I could have parked for free for three hours.
But the Olypics are coming X(
My mind clearly went to a very quiet, dark place.
