Adam

During our drive from Las-Vegas to Yosemite Meadows we stayed a couple of days in Tuolumne Meadows. From 42 Degrees during the day in Las-Vegas to -8 degrees at night in Meadows. From there we have made the John Muir Trail. A long distance walk in the Sierre Nevada Mountains. The majority of the trail coincides with parts of the Pacific Crest trail where we met Adam. The Pacific Crest Trail is a long distance for hikers that runs from the Mexican border in the south to the border with Canada in the north. The total length of the path is 4286km. Adam walks this path in 5 months, of which about 20 miles per day with approximately 10 days of rest in between. Where extreme cold and heat alternate. Meadows is a good resting point for hikers where they can stay and ration stocking.
