Cluny

We shoe-horned everything into the car, said our goodbyes to our hostess, and left the alps. It was very cloudy and damp when we left. We took the motorway as far as Macon and then drove on the N and D roads through Burgundy.

We stopped en-route in Cluny - a pretty little town and then made our way to our next Gite which is very comfortable.

Our kind host had left a bottle of local wine in the fridge and very tasty it is too.
