Swallows

Today's the day ...................... to plan a trip

It was more like October than August today.

It was wild and stormy - a brief interlude of sunshine followed quickly by lashing rain. I went out for a walk with Benjamin the dog - and by the time we got back I felt as if I had been slapped round the face with a wet kipper.

You could easily see how all the swallows - that were gathered on the telegraph wires like notes on a musical stave - might have come to the conclusion that it was time to plan a trip to warmer climes ....................
