Co-op Memorial

We had a walk in Centre Vale Park, Todmorden today - in between the blustery showers. It's a lovely park and has a very nice Garden of Remembrance which looked very nice when the sun shone.
This particular memorial caught my attention and shows how the war affected local life. It lists the people who worked at the Todmorden Industrial and Cooperative Society and died in the war. When I read the departments they worked in I got a real feeling of the great loss to the town.
