Durrell wildlife park

These Galapagos tortoises are 7 years old and 10 kg but they grow enormous and at age 50 they are as heavy as gorillas! They were eating slices of prickly cactus! The baby gorilla and baby orangutan were rather cute, the lemurs, meerkats and gibbons were other highlights for me. An exhibition of Gerald Durrell had interesting letters, newspaper cuttings, his many books and photos and I hadn't seen it before. The weather was ok here too!
