Eyes on Ice

I met an artist in Suomenlinna today with a long beard and an angle grinder. He had been freezing very nice ice pillars and ice figures on his yard. After taking a walk of several hours on narrow foot paths in deep snow while taking pictures of withered brown twigs peaking above the snow, colours seemed very welcome. He told me this colour was created with beetroot.

At the same time, a lovely acquaintance of mine was celebrating her wedding nearby. Photographing this ring reminded me of the vows she made today, and I wish her and her husband a happy marriage.
