Fundraising

We spent much of the day visiting friends and joining them at a "Jazz Lunch" in the vicarage garden at their local church. This was a fund-raising event to improve some of the facilities in their centuries old church. We had an excellent lunch on the lawn, with entertainment provided by a very good jazz group. Fortunately the rain held off, but some of the gazebos needed to be held down by the visitors in the strong and gusty winds. It was a very pleasant afternoon, and the vicar was pleased to receive a couple of cheques from funds already raised.
