Sunday Lunch

After a joint service in our church with our nearest village, which was well attended, we all stayed for coffee and met some interesting visitors.
Later on we went to another village not far away to have our lunch. It is a friendly and relaxed place, pretty in the summer with its thatched porch and hollyhocks. The bar is tiny, with comfy chairs and bookshelves, and in winter I like to sit in the nook beside the roaring fire, with cushions and more books!
But today we were in the dining room, all tables taken! Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and four more vegetables! Very tasty, and all the more enjoyable as I didn't have to cook it!!
