Our Mutual Friend...

No not Moss dog.... but the Dickens novel. The canal cottage on the right of the picture and this stretch of canal featured in the TV adaptation of 'Our Mutual Friend' a few years ago. This is at Llanymynech on the Montgomery canal and this stretch is unnavigable although restoration work is taking place locally by volunteers - good on 'em!

Sad events are unfolding in the Oswestry area. Don't know if anyone saw on the national news - the McFall family, mum and daughter mudered by the husband who then killed himself. I knew the daughter when she was little and attended nursery where I'm based. I know people who were friends and relatives of the family and are devastated by this tragedy.
Such a shock, prayers are with those affected.
